THE TIME OF MY LIFE
Benson’s first new song of 2026 is here. It starts quietly, then keeps building around the feeling of moving forward without the person you expected beside you. Alix Earle co-stars with Benson in the official music video, where they play out a larger-than-life love story.
I started this page to keep Benson’s music, shows, setlists and favorite live moments together in one place—from his early days in Monroe to the tours happening now.

01
A Washington childhood
Benson grew up in the small city of Monroe, northeast of Seattle, in a close family with four sisters. Music filled the family kitchen—Elvis Presley and Stevie Wonder were favorites—and he learned piano by listening after his sisters finished their lessons. Away from music, he drew, painted and became a competitive diver at Monroe High School.
02
The day he found his voice
Singing was not a lifelong plan. As a teenager, Benson joined friends for his high school’s Battle of the Bands. He expected to play piano, but stepped in when the singer dropped out. The band won, and his friends and family discovered—alongside Benson—that he had an extraordinary voice.
03
American Idol—then his own path
After sharing singing videos online, he auditioned for American Idol in 2021 at age 18. Katy Perry predicted he could win, but Benson withdrew before the Top 24 broadcasts. He wanted time to understand the artist he hoped to become instead of being defined by a television competition.

From first song to worldwide stages
Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds discovered Benson online, mentored him and signed him to Night Street Records in partnership with Warner Records. Learning to write songs made music feel like his future. “GHOST TOWN” arrived in 2021; “In the Stars” followed, and 2024’s “Beautiful Things” turned that fast-growing career into a worldwide breakthrough.

Pittsburgh was the outlier: Benson performed “What Do You Want” after “The Time of My Life.” It is the only Wanted Man Tour performance currently reported with that song. The night also introduced the unreleased piano song fans and setlist editors are calling “Love You Again,” though that title is not confirmed as an official release title.

HOW THE TRACKER WORKS
The main list shows the reported post-Pittsburgh running order. Pittsburgh is preserved separately because opening night included “What Do You Want.” Future swaps, covers, skipped songs, and surprises will be marked as variations. Setlists and unreleased-song titles are fan-reported and may be corrected later.
Status checked August 11, 2026 against BensonBoone.com, Warner Records, official venue and regional ticketing, Live Nation, AXS, and Frontier Touring. “Played” means the date passed with evidence the show took place. Rosemont includes both July 24 and July 25. The September 4 JAS Aspen appearance is included in the tracked routing. Sacramento remains postponed. The Spokane arena concert was moved from August 2 to September 6 because of ongoing wildfire conditions; original tickets are automatically honored. Check the official site before making travel plans.
